Technical Requirements

Information required for Vidaa TV Apps.

  • App Name – This is the name of the App (typically your radio stations name), as it will appear on the App stores.
  • App description – A description for your app, this appears on the App stores.
  • Keywords – A list of keywords to identify your app in user searches.
  • Contact email address – Your contact email address. Note that this may be visible in the app stores. If you do not wish to display a public email address, use ours (info@autopo.st).

Images required for Vidaa TV Apps.

We require various high quality logos from you, we will derive all the other logos required from these two. Please ensure they are of the highest quality to avoid Vidaa rejecting the App.
  • App Icon must be 480x480 pixels in size (square) and JPG format. This image will be used inside the App as the channel icon and in the channel store.
  • App Icon must be 480x270 pixels (wxh) in size and PNG format. This image will be used inside the App as the channel icon and in the channel store.
  • Channel Banner must be 1848x296 (wxh) in size and JPG format. This image will be used in the Vidaa channel store as the app banner.
  • Channel logo (in-screen) must be 1200x500 pixels (wxh) in size and PNG format. This image is used as the in-screen station logo.

Additional information required

  • Live stream information. This must be a permanent 24/7 live stream in MP3 or AAC format.
  • Ticker text. Update a live scrolling ticker in real time via our control panel.

Terms and Conditions of Service

Thank you for your interest in our Vidaa TV App service, please take a moment to read through the following to understand the terms of service.

  • There will be no setup charge for design, development, publishing (except republishing) or hosting costs. All of these costs are included in the currently displayed monthly charges for the ‘Vidaa TV App’ service.
  • Vidaa TV Apps will be developed as per the demo app 'Hit Music 80s' available in the 'Music' section of the App Store on the Vidaa TV platform. Please view this demo channel before signing up.
  • Logos as specified as per above will be supplied by the customer as part of the setup process.
  • The customer will provide the necessary information requested in a timely manner, information includes mandatory images and information to be submitted to the Vidaa TV platform. Failure to supply this information in a timely manner will lead to delays in publishing the app to the Vidaa TV platform.
  • Vidaa may take up to 21 days to publish your channel, autopo.st cannot influence the time it takes for apps to be approved by Vidaa.
  • The Vidaa TV App will be published under the autopo.st developer licenses. Source code or builds will not be released at any stage.
  • Apps are published, hosted and maintained by autopo.st while a monthly subscription is active. If a monthly subscription is cancelled, the App may be unpublished at any time at the end of the billing period. If an App is disabled/removed, a republishing fee will be charged.
  • Vidaa TV Apps are compatible with all Vidaa OS Smart TV devices currently available.
  • autopo.st will ensure that sufficient precautions are taken to ensure platform availability to support the app usage for its customers and will provide service credits for any downtime of its own platform (this does not include third party outages). Credits will never exceed the monthly equivalent of the service paid.
  • autopo.st will publish apps to the Vidaa TV platform within 48 hours (2 working days) of receiving the order and complete details.
  • autopo.st will provide a refund if the app is not successfully published to the Vidaa TV platform ONLY if it is due to an issue with the functionality of the app itself. This does NOT include issues with customers streams, content, missing or incomplete information submitted which could lead to the app being rejected. autopo.st will not publish apps until all information and details requested (above) are submitted in their entirety.
  • To display metadata (song information and artist images/cover art), this information must be present within your audio stream or be available via a compatible streaming platform. We support all major streaming platforms. If in doubt, please check before signing up.
